GLOBAL RECYCLING WEEK ♺

Every Denim Has a Past and a Future

How it works

From 16–22 March 2026, we invite you to join our
first-ever MUD Jeans Global Recycling Week.

Because denim is made to last.
And when it’s no longer worn, it deserves a future not a landfill.

During Recycling Week, you can return your old jeans
and receive 15% off a new pair of MUD Jeans.

Bring your denim. We’ll take it from there.

Why We Want Your Old Jeans Back

At MUD Jeans, we believe denim should never become waste. Since 2012, we’ve been designing jeans with one goal: to keep materials in circulation.

The fashion industry produces billions of jeans every year, yet less than 1% of textiles are recycled into new textiles. Most jeans are burned or dumped, releasing harmful emissions and chemicals over time.

We think there’s a better way. That’s why we recycle denim to make denim, turning worn-out jeans into new premium fabric and giving every pair another life.

What is Global Recycling Week?

Global Recycling Week is a new initiative launched by MUD Jeans in 2026. It’s our way of making circularity visible and inviting everyone to be part of it.

Your jeans carry stories. And by returning them, you help give those stories a new chapter.

Because real impact happens when we act together.

By making recycling visible and accessible, MUD Jeans brings its circular mission to life together with customers and retailers worldwide.

Why Recycling Denim Matters

When jeans are thrown away, they can break down into methane, microplastics, dyes, and chemicals that contaminate water and soil.

Every pair we recycle instead helps to:

  • prevent chemical and microfibre pollution
  • avoid landfill emissions
  • reduce demand for new cotton
  • keep valuable materials in the loop

It’s not about perfection. It’s about keeping resources in use and making better choices possible.

The Bigger Goal: Fighting Global Warming with Denim

MUD Jeans was founded with one clear vision: to be the voice of circular fashion, leading zero-waste denim production.

We believe sustainability must be proven, not claimed. That’s why we measure our impact with independent Life Cycle Assessments. Compared to conventional denim, a pair of MUD Jeans uses:

  • 87% less water
  • 89% less CO₂ emissions

Global Recycling Week is part of that mission making our take-back system bigger, stronger, and easier to join.

And by doing it together, we can make real impact.
