The denim capital of the world is turning blue for the Amsterdam Denim Days. From October 22-28 the city is under the sign of denim and you can drop your old jeans in one of our Amsterdam stores: Geitenwollenwinkel. We’re excited.
Amsterdam Denim Days
For a whole week, Amsterdam is attracting denim heads from all over the world to show the newest innovations, designs and satisfy all cravings for all things indigo.
From workshops in screen-painting over getting your denim fixed to upcycling your old jeans, there’s something fun to do for everyone. Even if you’re not the actively-participating-kind-of-person, there’s a weekend program full of talks with people from the industry at the Westergasfabriek.
We can only recommend the Sunday afternoon talks, yes, because our very own Danique will be one of the speakers.
In case you’re not sure on where exactly to go to check out the full program here.
Be good. Drop your old jeans.
It’s not only specific workshops but also clothing stores all around the city that are infected by the denim fever this week. Including the honest and sustainable store Geitenwollenwinkel, which is one of Amsterdam’s coolest vegan and ethical fashion stores. They invited us to decorate their shopwindow during the Amsterdam Denim Days and trust us, we’ve never had more respect for window dressers than we do now, let’s just say, it’s a super hard job. Apart from the all denim everything shop window, you’ll be able to drop off your old unworn denim at the Geitenwollenwinkel so we can recycle them and turn them into beautiful new denim. As a reward you’ll get a €10,- discount on all MUD Jeans at the store, and there are plenty of them waiting for you to be tried on. Stop by at Geitenwollenwinkel at the Utrechtsestraat 37 to get a full dose of denim and other great sustainable fashion.
