MUD Jeans has become the first denim brand worldwide to earn the TESTEX Circularity Label, a groundbreaking certification that measures durability, repairability, and recyclability in textiles. Independent tests confirmed what we’ve always known: our jeans are built to last, designed for repair, and made to recycle proving that circular fashion is not just a vision, but a reality.

Why the TESTEX Circularity Label Matters
TESTEX is an independent Swiss testing and certification institute with a long history in textiles and sustainability. The new Circularity Label was created to provide reliable proof that garments are designed with their full lifecycle in mind: how long they last, how easily they can be repaired, and whether they can be recycled into new materials.
By achieving this certification, MUD Jeans has shown that circular design can be measured, verified, and scaled. This represents a breakthrough for the denim industry, which has long struggled with waste, overproduction, and resource-heavy processes.

What the Certification Proves
-
Durability proven
Independent testing confirmed that our jeans are made to last. Strong construction and premium fabrics extend their lifespan, reducing the need for new resources and lowering environmental impact.
-
Repairability confirmed
Our jeans are designed to be repaired and worn longer. Reinforced construction and our repair initiatives ensure you can keep your favourite jeans in rotation, season after season.
-
Recyclability at our core
Thanks to our use of mono-material denim and the avoidance of unnecessary synthetics, MUD Jeans are easy to recycle. At the end of their life, they can be broken down and spun into new denim again and again.

A New Standard for Circular Fashion
For over a decade, MUD Jeans has pioneered circular denim: jeans designed to last, designed to be repaired, and designed to be recycled. Independent validation through TESTEX proves that our claims hold true and that the future of fashion can be circular, transparent, and scalable.
“Circularity is part of our DNA. We design garments that last, then reuse and recycle materials wherever possible. Having an independent body certify what we do gives us credible proof, not just claims,” said Dion Vijgeboom, Head of Product & Operations at MUD Jeans.
